Glossary
Powerbloc’s docs use a lot of shorthand. Here’s all of it, with the default values the
season actually runs on. (Every number below lives in one file — params.toml — and can be
tuned between seasons; the DAO can move only the fee split, and only within bounds.)
The things you’ll see on screen
| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
Backing (R/s) | SOL in the curve ÷ tokens in circulation — the floor under your token. Rises with volume, never falls from trading alone. |
Price (P) | What the next token costs. Always above backing on a rising curve. |
| π (power per SOL) | How much army one more SOL buys this nation, relative to others. The big × number on the globe. High π = underdog = your SOL goes further. It falls as a nation gets big (see below). |
Treasury (T) | The nation’s war chest — fees and loot. Buys units. Sellers can never touch it. |
Reserve (R) | SOL inside the curve. Backs the token. This is what wars are fought over. |
| Supply | Food, not money. Territory yields it; armies eat it. Caps army size. |
| Epoch | 12 hours. The season is 42 epochs / 21 days. |
| VP | Victory Points — decides the top-3 prize. 3·conquests + 2·wars won + 1·survived + treasury rank bonus. |
| UNSUPPLIED / STARVING | Your army outran its food. Fights at 70% effectiveness, then starts dying. |
The Greek
| Symbol | Name | Default | Means |
|---|---|---|---|
P₀ | base price | 2.5e-8 SOL | price of the very first token |
k | curve slope | 1.2e-17 | how fast price rises with supply |
α | combat exponent | 0.65 | army size has diminishing returns |
λ | mobilization | 0.5 | 100% staked = 1.5× combat power |
θ | defender edge | 1.3 | attacker must be 30% stronger to win a tick |
ε | VRF roll | U[0.9, 1.1] | public randomness — ±10% luck per tick |
γ | escrow ratio | 0.30 | attack cost = γ·c₀·M_defender |
δ | depreciation | 10%/epoch | armies rot if unmaintained |
σ | mobilization rate | — | fraction of your nation’s supply that is staked |
τ | tactics | — | the AI general’s multiplier |
φ_T / φ_S / φ_B / φ_P | fee split | 50 / 25 / 15 / 10% | treasury / stakers / buyback-burn / protocol |
c₀ | unit base cost | 0.05 SOL | cost of the first unit; rises with army size |
M_s | cost scaling | 500 | c(M) = c₀·(1 + M/M_s) |
u_S | upkeep per unit | 0.4 Supply | M_max = supply income ÷ u_S |
